A charity organisation’s recent expansion to larger premises in Lowton, Wigan, is set to create up to 15 new jobs. This move is part of the Remarkable Autism charity’s broader growth strategy.
Remarkable Autism has secured a new office space at Stone Cross Court off East Lancashire Road, which will now serve as its headquarters. This modern, self-contained unit spans an impressive 4,177 sq ft and is designed to accommodate the charity’s growing team. The two-storey office offers a flexible and practical workspace, with large meeting and conference rooms aimed at fostering a collaborative working environment.
CEO Robin Bush remarked, “Over the last few years, Remarkable Autism has undergone a significant period of growth across each of our provisions. With such growth comes a need for us to offer a more bespoke and flexible workspace for our central team colleagues. The new space will allow us to welcome new staff into our organisation and provide all colleagues with a central hub for collaborating, training opportunities, meetings and so much more.”
Bush added, “It is an incredibly exciting time at Remarkable Autism. We have ambitious plans, and this new office space is just the beginning of what promises to be another truly remarkable year for our organisation.”
Remarkable Autism has its roots in Newton-le-Willows, where it operates Wargrave House School, Ascent Autism Specialist College, and Sundial Therapy. The decision to centralise operations in Lowton is intended to support the charity’s mission to improve the lives of individuals with autism. The new office accommodates employees in various functions, including human resources, administration, and finance.
The leasing of the new space was managed by joint letting agents Parkinson Real Estate and Hitchcock Wright & Partners. Dan Crawshaw from Parkinson Real Estate noted, “This most recent letting at Stone Cross Court means the scheme benefits full occupancy once again. Stone Cross Court has proved a popular development and due to the quality of the products and its sought-after regional positioning, equal distance between Liverpool and Manchester, space does not remain here for long.”
Crawshaw continued, “Leaders at Remarkable Autism completed their own due diligence extremely quickly to allow them to enter into early lease negotiations and credit should be given to the respective professional teams acting both for the landlord, our clients, and Remarkable Autism.”
The move to larger premises signifies a period of significant growth and ambition for Remarkable Autism. With the new headquarters, the charity is well-positioned to expand its team and enhance its impact on the community.
