Construction has commenced on a significant new industrial and logistics development at Trafford Park.
The 42,593 sq ft project, named Ark 42, is being developed by Trebor Developments on behalf of The Prudential Assurance Company and M&G Real Estate.
Ark 42 is an ambitious industrial and logistics development located at Trafford Park Road, Trafford Park. The project is being executed by Caddick, appointed by Trebor Developments. This development aims to deliver a BREEAM Excellent two-storey building, providing 34,670 sq ft of warehousing space with 10m eaves and 7,923 sq ft dedicated to Cat A office space. The inclusion of parking provisions with EV charging stations highlights the project’s commitment to sustainability.
This project also adds to Caddick’s growing portfolio in Trafford, coinciding with other significant local projects such as the transformation of Stretford Mall and Lumina Village.
This modern facility is expected to be ready for occupancy by spring 2025, illustrating an efficient timeline and meticulous project planning.
The strategic location of Ark 42, near Manchester city centre, further enhances its appeal and logistical advantages for future occupants.
Jonathan Wiedemann, Head of North West Region at JLL, commented, “It’s fantastic to bring this scheme to site and we look forward to working with Caddick and Trebor during the build. Ark 42 is located in a prominent position, located in the heart of Trafford Park and within five miles of the city centre.”
Upon completion, Ark 42 will offer a prime location for businesses seeking modern, environmentally-friendly facilities in the Trafford Park area.
Such features align with broader industry trends prioritising sustainability and reduced environmental impact in new developments.
Completion in spring 2025 will mark a new chapter in the area’s industrial and logistics evolution, promising substantial benefits for the local economy and business ecosystem.
The commencement of Ark 42 signals a positive trajectory for industrial and logistics developments in Trafford Park.
As work progresses, the project stands to significantly contribute to the local economy while setting new standards for sustainable development.
Ark 42’s completion is keenly anticipated, promising a transformative addition to the industrial infrastructure in the region.
