EasyJet will introduce two new routes from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) to Oslo, Norway and Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt this winter.

Oslo, known for its vibrant nightlife, diverse cuisine, and iconic architecture, will be a new destination in EasyJet’s network starting from November 29. Flights to this scenic city will operate twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. Meanwhile, flights to the winter hot-spot Sharm-el-Sheikh, celebrated for its guaranteed winter sunshine, will commence on February 14, 2025, also running twice a week on the same days.

Over the past year, EasyJet has expanded significantly at LJLA, adding 11 new services to its roster. The latest additions follow newly introduced flights to destinations such as Derry, Malta, Enfida in Tunisia, Hurghada in Egypt, Corfu, Berlin, Prague, Fuerteventura, and Marrakech. Ali Gayward, UK Country Manager for EasyJet, noted that these new destinations provide greater choice and connectivity for customers across the North West.

Paul Winfield, Aviation Director for LJLA, expressed excitement about the new routes, which complement recent additions to Hurghada, Corfu, and Enfida. He highlighted that the Oslo route will facilitate direct travel for football supporters to Liverpool, while Sharm-el-Sheikh represents an exciting long-haul addition to the network.

Currently, EasyJet bases seven aircraft at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, facilitating up to 340 flights each week to 27 destinations and transporting approximately two million passengers annually. This expansion underscores the airline’s commitment to enhancing its connectivity from Liverpool. The launch of these new routes further signifies EasyJet’s growth plans and dedication to meeting passenger demands for diverse travel options.

With the launch of routes to Oslo and Sharm-el-Sheikh, EasyJet continues to strengthen its presence at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, offering enhanced connectivity and travel choices for passengers.
