In a strategic move, a prominent tech firm has relocated its headquarters to Manchester City Centre to support ambitious growth plans.
The eCommerce agency has signed a lease on a new office in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. This relocation comes as part of the company’s objective to achieve annual revenues of nearly £2.3 million, marking a 40 per cent growth. The firm, which is on track to exceed £1 million in revenue this financial year, is investing more than £250,000 in the new 2,500-square-foot office space at 18 Hilton Street.
Previously, the agency’s pay-per-click and social media advertising teams operated from Manchester Piccadilly, while its Magento development and client services teams were based at its old headquarters in Bury. Now, the entire 21-member team will be situated in Manchester.
According to the managing director, the firm plans to increase revenue by 40 per cent year-on-year, and the move to Manchester City Centre is expected to facilitate this growth and help achieve the target of £2.3 million in annual revenues by 2021. He explained, “With us winning bigger and bigger projects and growing our head count, attracting the right talent to Bury was becoming a challenge, especially when the eCommerce talent pool is small.”
The managing director further elaborated that the company’s plan to exceed £2 million in annual revenue within the next three years hinges on recruitment, given the anticipated need for new staff. He stated, “I felt we would be in a better position to meet this challenge with a Manchester city centre HQ. It will also offer an improved environment for current staff with all the amenities the area offers and transport links.”
The newly refurbished office, designed by a notable designer, includes a modern kitchen, meeting rooms, a bar, and a staff area, all complemented by contemporary and stylish décor. The city centre location is also set to enhance transport links to London, benefiting the agency’s growing client base in the south.
The managing director expressed optimism about the future of the company and the eCommerce sector, noting that both B2C and B2B businesses increasingly recognise the importance of eCommerce and the value of having the right digital partner. He stated, “It’s a very exciting time for us and the eCommerce sector as a whole.”
The strategic relocation to Manchester’s Northern Quarter is set to position the firm for significant growth while attracting top talent and improving logistical connections for its expanding client base.
