Student Unions Secure Sponsorship through Innovative Platform

student unions secure sponsorship through innovative platform business manchester

A partnership between Sponsor My Society and SU Network is set to support hundreds of societies across the UK by facilitating sponsorship opportunities.

Sponsor My Society, an online platform created by recent graduate Jack Culpan, connects university clubs and societies with businesses to enable sponsorship and partnership opportunities. This platform allows student groups to collaborate with top graduate employers, thereby facilitating careers events, networking sessions, and educational workshops.

Jack Culpan, the founder, stated, “Joining clubs and societies at university is a fantastic way to both learn outside your degree and meet new people with diverse interests and backgrounds. Unfortunately, without precious funding from external sponsors, many fail to support themselves and reach their potential, or worse, they collapse. This is where Sponsor My Society can help.”

The partnership aims to improve business relations while supporting students in maximising their university experience. SU Network operates as a subsidiary of a student union and offers a variety of marketing channels, providing business development services such as sponsorship, venue hire, and advertising to numerous external student unions and organisations.

Lizzie Norcott, business development coordinator for SU Network, commented, “We’re excited to be working with Jack on promoting sponsorship opportunities for the eight unions that we manage within SU Network. We hope this partnership will be beneficial for the students, connecting them to companies with recruitment and development opportunities for their clubs and societies. Sponsorship is very important to all student groups, it allows them to expand, develop and increase their participation in competitions and community projects. We look forward to working with Jack on creating these valuable sponsorship packages.”

This collaboration highlights the potential for technology to bridge gaps in funding, thereby enhancing the university experience for numerous students across the UK.
