A fast-growing recruitment app has expanded its reach with the inauguration of its sixth office in the United Kingdom.

Launched in November 2015, the app provides an online staffing platform specifically for the hospitality and events sector, effectively bypassing the traditional need for agencies. As of October 2017, the platform had raised £9 million in capital from prominent investors. The start-up has now opened a new office in Cardiff, which will trade alongside its existing sites in London, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, and Birmingham.

The opening of the new branch is considered a significant milestone for the company. Cardiff holds a particular significance for the platform’s mission to enhance conditions for both employers and job seekers. Notably, the company’s co-founder and CEO, Jack Beaman, pursued a political science course at Cardiff University. During his academic tenure, Beaman engaged extensively in temporary work, discovering a sector plagued by low wages and limited worker opportunities, as well as high fees and a lack of control for businesses.

The new base in Cardiff marks a continued effort to address these issues, aiming to offer more control, choice, and fairer conditions for all parties involved.

The expansion into Cardiff underscores the company’s commitment to improving the recruitment landscape for both employers and job seekers.
