The inaugural ‘101 North East Tech’ list is set to recognise tech stars within the North East region, celebrating both emerging start-ups and established tech giants. This initiative aims to highlight the achievements of businesses leveraging technology across various sectors.
The ‘101 North East Tech’ list offers businesses in the region an opportunity to be acknowledged for their contributions to technology. According to Chris Maguire, this effort is not limited to specific sectors, as the goal is to celebrate any business that has successfully embraced technology. Maguire remarked, ‘My team and I have visited Newcastle several times and seen what that city has to offer when it comes to technology – but we’ve also come across many other superb businesses across the wider North East region.’
This list follows the success of previous regional lists such as ‘101 Birmingham and Midlands Tech’ and ‘101 Yorkshire and Humberside Tech,’ as well as other notable lists including ’51 Tech for Good Stars,’ ’51 AI Innovators,’ and ’35 Under 35.’
Chris Maguire emphasised the significance of acknowledging success stories from businesses of all sizes, stating, ‘It’s important that we celebrate all that the UK has to offer. We want to hear the success stories of companies both small and large. We’re looking for companies doing amazing things with tech. The sector isn’t important, we want to celebrate any business that has embraced tech and reaped the rewards.’ The closing date for nominations for the ‘101 North East Tech’ list is Friday 30th November.
The full list will be published online, providing a platform for these businesses to gain recognition and further opportunities within the tech community.
The ‘101 North East Tech’ list underscores the innovative spirit of the region, offering a platform to showcase the technological advancements and success stories of local businesses.
