sale secures future of leeds direct mail business and saves 30 jobs business manchester

The future of Leeds’ direct mail, fulfilment, and print specialist firm, RNB Group, has been secured following a successful sale led by Bob Maxwell and Louise Longley of Begbies Traynor Group.

The transaction, concluded on 23 August 2024, ensures the preservation of all 30 jobs at the Silver Royd Business Park-based company. Established almost two decades ago, RNB Group manages comprehensive marketing campaigns, offering services that include creative design, digital and inkjet printing, and data services.

Amid escalating cash flow issues, the directors of RNB Group sought Begbies Traynor to market the business. The venture attracted substantial interest from potential buyers, culminating in the sale to another print and delivery services company, PDMF, just a fortnight later. The transaction ensures that the business will persist at its current Leeds site under new ownership.

Bob Maxwell, joint administrator at Begbies Traynor, commented, “RNB Group is a long-established and well-known Leeds business which simply ran into some short-term cash flow problems. Fortunately, we were able to act swiftly to market the business and conclude a sale for it as a going concern. It’s great news for the staff, suppliers and customers that the business will continue in the hands of new owners.”

The legal processes were facilitated by LCF Law for the administrators and Freeths for the acquirers. The swift intervention and sale are pivotal in maintaining the operations and safeguarding the livelihoods of the employees.

The seamless transition of ownership not only secures the future of RNB Group but also fortifies the stability of its workforce and services within the Leeds community.
