Alcedo Care Group Honoured by Princess Royal Training Awards
Specialist home care provider, Alcedo Care Group, has been recognised by the Princess Royal Training Awards for its exceptional provision of complex care training. The awards are open to organisations across the UK and Ireland, requiring them to demonstrate programmes that yield positive business impacts. The recognition process involves a meticulous review, including a comprehensive application, supporting statements, and an interview, culminating in a six-month evaluation period.
The awards, backed by HRH The Princess Royal, represent a prestigious acknowledgement of outstanding training programmes. These awards are evidence-based, demanding clear data on increased staff and client satisfaction, as well as the impact on turnover. Alcedo Care’s in-house training department, coupled with investments in training, development, resources, and equipment, played a crucial role in earning this recognition.
Investment in Employee Development
Alcedo Care Group places a significant emphasis on training due to a growing number of clients with complex care needs. This focus has led to the introduction of a specialised nurse-led training course comprising over 80 modules. So far, 275 staff members have been upskilled to offer clinical care for a diverse range of complex requirements.
Boardman stated, “We invest significantly in every single employee, ensuring all staff have the skills and knowledge to provide outstanding home care in a safe and effective way.” The training covers specific health conditions of clients, making it a crucial aspect of their service delivery.
He further added, “With more clients seeking complex care, the need for continuous and evolving training becomes even more critical.” This ongoing commitment ensures that Alcedo’s workforce is well-equipped to handle the diverse and ever-changing needs of their clients.
Pride in Prestigious Recognition
Boardman conveyed profound pride in receiving the royal recognition, stating, “To say we are proud to have received royal recognition is an understatement.” Alcedo Care was one of only 52 companies to meet the required standards out of the 600 that initially registered interest.
Boardman mentioned that this award places Alcedo Care Group alongside prominent organisations such as IBM, Bentley Motor Group and the NHS. Alcedo’s achievement is particularly noteworthy given the wide range of sectors and the varied sizes of companies participating.
