A Manchester-based business that enables individuals and organisations to launch their own radio stations has undergone a major website redesign, significantly enhancing its functionality and user experience.
The all-in-one platform, which provides tools for users to set up and manage their radio stations from the cloud, serves a diverse clientele, including well-known names such as Vice, Primavera Sound, Soho Radio, and Unicef. The strategic design agency based in Manchester has completed the website’s design and build, marking a substantial milestone for the platform.
This development follows a recent investment of £300,000 from the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund. Founder, James Mulvany, remarked, ‘We approached them in August 2017 with the brief to elevate our existing brand. Since the launch in April, we have received a very positive response from customers to the updates.’ Additionally, the internal team revamped the product’s user interface, adhering to the new brand guidelines set forth.
The design agency, located at Manchester’s community centre NEO, also worked on refining the platform’s tone of voice and improving user flow. David Newton, the agency’s creative director and co-founder, stated, ‘The platform has been an exciting and rewarding project to work on. Page views have increased by an average of 10,000 per day, which in turn has decreased the bounce rate by approximately 30 per cent.’
This positive feedback and growth in user engagement come on the heels of a successful first year for the design agency, which reported a turnover of £380,000. Since its inception in April 2017, the agency has collaborated with various brands across multiple sectors, including well-known names in the beverage, fashion, housing, and health industries.
The website redesign has not only improved the platform’s usability and aesthetic appeal but also contributed to significant growth in user engagement, reflecting the effective partnership between the platform and the design agency.
