The highly anticipated Oasis reunion next year is set to provide a significant boost for two major promoters, SJM Concerts and Live Nation. According to music industry estimates, the budget for reconciling the long-feuding Gallagher brothers stands at a staggering £50 million.

Manchester-based SJM Concerts, one of the UK’s largest concert promoters, orchestrates over 2,000 concerts annually. A teaser image featuring the date in signature Oasis graphics emerged after a recent concert by Blossoms, also promoted by SJM. The company, founded by Simon Moran, who also chairs the Warrington Wolves Rugby League club, plays a pivotal role in this reunion.

The latest financial statements from Companies House reveal that SJM Concerts made a £17.7 million pre-tax profit on a turnover of £275 million in 2022. Meanwhile, the series of concerts at Heaton Park in North Manchester will utilise the site infrastructure for next June’s Parklife Festival, which Live Nation wholly acquired from Manchester promoter Sacha Lord earlier this year. Notably, SJM also held stakes in Parklife and The Warehouse Project.

Oasis will grace stages at major venues, including Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on 4th and 5th July, Manchester’s Heaton Park on 11th, 12th, 19th, and 20th July, London’s Wembley Stadium on 25th, 26th July, 2nd, and 3rd August, Edinburgh’s Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium on 8th and 9th August, and Dublin’s Croke Park on 16th and 17th August. Further dates at Wembley are anticipated. Moreover, the Etihad Stadium, home of Manchester City Football Club and supported by the Gallagher brothers, will reopen for concerts in 2025 following an extension.

Live Nation, headquartered in Los Angeles and recognised as the world’s largest live entertainment company, also owns Ticketmaster. Confirming the reunion dates on social media, Noel Gallagher stated, “This is it, this is happening,” and linked to a website that temporarily crashed due to traffic. An official statement from Oasis confirmed these developments.

The Oasis reunion, facilitated by SJM Concerts and Live Nation, promises to be a monumental event in the music industry, showcasing the enduring popularity of the Gallagher brothers and their significant influence on contemporary music.
