Northern Reach has been contracted by Chorley Council to deliver Tech Community Building services at the Strawberry Fields Digital Hub in Chorley.

Northern Reach has appointed Helen Crowther as the Community Coordinator to spearhead this significant initiative aimed at enhancing tech and enterprise skills within Chorley. Dan Knowles, the founder of Northern Reach, expressed his excitement about Crowther’s appointment, highlighting her notable career as a librarian and her passion for Digital Literacy. Crowther’s involvement with the CODE Lancashire skills bootcamp and her upcoming Masters with the London Interdisciplinary School underscore her capability in this role.

Knowles extended his gratitude to Phil Owen for facilitating their involvement, expressing eagerness to support the Choose Chorley for Business programme. In a related development, Stuart Lee is set to undertake a similar role in South Ribble, which will soon host the National Cyber Force at Salmesbury.

Northern Reach, based in Lancaster, is committed to being the premier resource for tech and innovation-focused founders in Lancashire and Cumbria. It collaborates closely with public sector partners and funders to secure support. Among its various projects, Northern Reach manages the Lancashire Digital Hub for the County Council, funded by Barclays Eagle Labs. Additionally, it is engaged in delivering projects for District Councils in Lancaster, Burnley, and now Chorley and South Ribble.
