Production Light & Sound has secured exclusive rights to supply Green Voltage’s eco-friendly power solutions across Northern England. This partnership marks a significant move towards sustainable energy in the live events industry.

From its Leeds headquarters, Production Light & Sound is championing environmentally conscious power options for events of all types and sizes. By extending its offerings to include portable battery power systems with solar panels, the company is meeting the growing demand for clean, silent, and sustainable energy sources.

Sarah Buckmaster, company director and technical manager, expressed her enthusiasm: ‘Our commitment to reducing carbon footprint and embracing eco-friendly practices has led us to this exciting collaboration with Green Voltage.’ She highlighted the advanced power solutions as ideal for various events, from village fetes to large-scale festivals, where discrete and efficient power supply is crucial.

Green Voltage’s product range with Production Light & Sound includes eight VOLTstack 5k 230V units, the Wattman 10k, and the Instagrid One Max, with access to VOLTstack 20k. These products aim to replace traditional diesel generators with innovative, sustainable technology, thereby significantly reducing CO2 emissions.

The VOLTstack 5k 230V units offer emission-free power, eliminating the need for diesel generators and reducing pollution risks. With their silent operation and versatile applications, these units are perfect for a wide range of events. They provide a robust and reliable power source thanks to their rated output of 4.8kW and surge capacity of up to 7kW.

The Instagrid ONE Max is another notable offering. Weighing just 20kg, it is silent and portable, ideal for travel and event use. It delivers high performance with a runtime of 2.1kWh and continuous power of 3600W.

Additionally, the Wattman E-Generator, on off-road wheels, boasts both solar and grid charging options, making it flexible for various demanding environments. David Sinfield, co-founder of Green Voltage, emphasised the importance of these solutions: ‘Our range of sustainable power solutions promises a future that’s brighter, greener, and quieter for the live event industry.’

Production Light & Sound has already successfully deployed these units at local events in Yorkshire. By utilising these eco-friendly solutions, the company aims to revolutionise power usage at events, minimizing the logistical challenges associated with traditional generators.

This partnership between Production Light & Sound and Green Voltage signifies a forward-thinking approach to sustainable energy in the events sector. With these innovative power solutions, the future of live events in Northern England looks set to be greener and more efficient.
