Tina Howell of AND Digital is the latest addition to the speaker lineup for an upcoming breakfast event centred on the Leeds digital sector.

Alongside Howell, the event will also feature Anne Dornan, head of innovation at Bruntwood; Eve Roodhouse, chief officer of economic development for the City of Leeds; and Laura Harper, partner and head of intellectual property, creative & digital industries, and ICT law at Shoosmiths.
The breakfast event will also hear from a range of influential voices in the sector, including James Gupta, founder and CEO of Synap; Richard Ellis, managing principal for Digital Retail at Answer Digital; Adam Hildreth, CEO of Crisp Thinking; Alex Epstein, chief marketing officer at Big Change; Mark Fordyce, managing director of York Data Services; and Martin Stow, director of Nexus.
Leeds boasts 1,350 digital companies employing 10,000 people, marking it as a significant hub within the digital landscape. The city, however, faces stiff competition from Manchester and Birmingham, which has intensified the tech recruitment challenge in the area. Over half of the digital companies in Leeds report difficulties in hiring qualified talent.
Leeds’ reputation is further bolstered by hosting the largest digital festival in the North and the successful development of the Platform building, both highlighting the city’s strong digital credentials. Despite these achievements, the competitive pressures underscore the city’s ongoing challenge in maintaining its position in the digital economy.
The event is scheduled to run from 8 am to 9:30 am and aims to address these critical issues while showcasing the leading talents and innovations emerging from the Leeds digital sector.
The confirmation of Tina Howell as a speaker underscores the significance of the event for the Leeds digital sector, aiming to tackle pressing recruitment and competitive challenges.
