SocialChain has made a significant leadership change by appointing Jacinta Faul as the new CEO.

Jacinta Faul joins SocialChain after an impressive decade at Gravity Road, where she held the position of managing director since 2019. During her tenure, Gravity Road received numerous accolades, including digital innovation agency of the year gold and silver awards. Under her leadership, the agency secured transformative clients such as Amazon Fashion, Footlocker Europe, and Smart Energy UK. Notably, she spearheaded global partnerships for Unilever and TikTok and prioritised the agency’s attainment of the first CPD Gold accreditation.

Prior to her role at Gravity Road, Faul gained extensive experience in account management at the Engine Group and Four Communications, working with clients such as Sky, Samsung, Renault, and Unilever. Faul’s new role at SocialChain will involve building on the agency’s recent successes, particularly following the launch of its creator model last year. She is expected to support and scale ambitious clients, including SharkNinja, LinkedIn, and Holland & Barrett, as well as expand the agency’s services and capabilities in response to the growing demand for social-first strategies, influencer marketing, platform-native creative, and holistic measurement.

Faul takes over from Pete Metcalfe, who departed to join another company as Chief Marketing Officer in July. As CEO, Faul will lead a senior leadership team that includes group strategy director Ric Hayes, executive creator director Tom Bellamy, finance director Mark Farelly, and the recently appointed Victoria Willis and Ramiz Abusham, who hold the positions of operations and delivery director and growth director, respectively. Faul will report to the parent company’s executive board and collaborate closely with them to develop dynamic digital solutions across media, marketing, and commerce technology.

Oliver Green, the executive chairman of the parent company, commented on Faul’s appointment, stating: “Jacinta has a proven track record of leading, scaling, and delivering impressive results within social-first businesses. With a cohort of ambitious new clients looking to us to take them into the new era of marketing, I can think of no one better to lead the agency in this next phase of growth.” Faul expressed her enthusiasm, saying: “SocialChain has that rare combination of brand recognition—even outside of the bubble that is our industry—a phenomenal legacy in its specialism, and passionate, talented people operating at the forefront of culture and commerce. I’m incredibly excited to be joining at such a pivotal stage of growth not just for the agency but for social-first marketing as a discipline. I am and always will be a practitioner and I can’t wait to get stuck in with the agency’s talented leadership team to take the business, and its clients, to even greater heights.”

Jacinta Faul’s appointment as CEO marks a pivotal moment for SocialChain, as she brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in leading agencies to new heights. Her leadership is set to drive the agency’s growth and innovation in the competitive landscape of social-first marketing.
