N Brown has recently finalised a competitive pitch process to appoint a new creative agency.

Motel will succeed House 337 in managing the marketing campaigns for N Brown’s primary brands, including Jacamo, JD Williams, and Simply Be. Sam Walker, Group Marketing and Creative Director at N Brown, stated, “As we continue to innovate and focus on bringing to life the areas that make our brands unique, we have developed strong creative platforms for Jacamo, JD Williams and Simply Be which we’re incredibly proud of. This wouldn’t have been possible without the team at House 337, and we’d like to thank them for the amazing work produced across all three brands to bring to life our unique propositions.”

The London-based agency, Motel, was founded in 2020 by former McCann executives Rob Smith and Lee Tan. Since its establishment, Motel has worked with a variety of clients, including Klarna, Fever Tree, and Violife. Walker further commented, “We’re delighted to be moving forward with Motel as we work to create inspiring new campaigns for our customers. As we enter this next phase, we’re confident that our partnership will allow us to connect further with our customers, serve the under-served, and continue to democratise fashion.”

N Brown has also announced plans to increase its marketing expenditure and innovate its strategies, including improved utilisation of first-party data and investments into loyalty programmes. Motel’s directive includes collaborating with N Brown’s in-house teams to highlight the unique propositions of the Group’s brands and to drive the next phase of growth across all three brands.

JD Williams will continue to address the ‘invisibility’ of midlife women and maintain its association with brand ambassador Gok Wan and the sponsorship of ITV’s ‘My Mum, Your Dad.’ Meanwhile, Simply Be has unveiled a new strategic direction, and Jacamo will persist with its ‘Men’s Style. Sorted.’ campaign and partnership with LADbible.

N Brown’s strategic decision to engage Motel as its new creative partner marks a significant step in its ongoing efforts to innovate and expand its reach in the fashion industry.
