Manchester-based tech firm Godel has announced its partnership with the price comparison site on the establishment of its third Technology Centre.
The price comparison site already operates from bases in Peterborough and Shoreditch. Godel will facilitate the development and operation of the site’s microservices architecture through its teams located in Belarus. “We chose to work with Godel as the team shared our values – they are honest, direct and deliver on their promises, plus they are familiar with microservices architectures, so have easily enhanced our CaaS platform,” stated the site’s CTO James Lomas.
Lomas further explained, “We have extended our product team model to Godel’s centre of excellence in Belarus, where we have teams building, running and owning comparison products and have also created some flexible capacity, where Godel engineers can augment our teams in the UK.”
Neil Turvin, CEO of Godel, expressed admiration for the transparency and ambition demonstrated by the price comparison site. “Our engineers love being part of the comparison site’s story,” Turvin noted. He highlighted that the use of microservices on the AWS platform is an integral part of the company’s forward-looking cloud strategy, which aims to provide scalability for a constantly growing organisation. “Godel has the skills to help clients whether the platform is AWS, Microsoft or Google – and we know that this architecture is proven when delivering the right user experience that scales with demand,” Turvin added.
