DWF, a global provider of integrated legal and business services, has significantly strengthened its insurance division by appointing Ruth Graham, a major injury expert, as a new partner in Manchester. Ruth Graham brings over 35 years of experience in the transport sector to her new role.

Ruth Graham transitions to DWF from Clyde & Co., where she led the transport team as a partner. Her extensive experience includes handling motor, bus, coach, rail, and tram accident claims, along with multi-party road traffic accidents in foreign jurisdictions. Additionally, she has a keen interest in the insurance implications of driverless vehicles and electric scooters.

The appointment of Ruth Graham follows an impressive FY24 performance for DWF, marked by a 24% growth in its Insurance Services business. This success has been attributed to exceptional client delivery and the strategic acquisition of Whitelaw Twining in Canada. In the past year, DWF promoted 138 insurance colleagues, including eight to partner level, further solidifying its strong position within the industry.

Claire Bowler, Head of Major Injury and Casualty, welcomed Ruth Graham to the team, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Ruth to the complex and major injury team. She has built a strong reputation in the industry, and her invaluable experience and understanding of complex cases will significantly enhance our capabilities and strengthen our offering to clients.”

Ruth Graham expressed her enthusiasm for joining DWF’s integrated insurance services division, saying, “I am excited to join DWF’s integrated insurance services division, and I will enjoy working with my new colleagues across the business to support our clients by utilising industry expertise to deliver the best solutions. DWF is a global leader in insurance services and has ambitious plans for the future – I am really looking forward to getting started.”

Ruth Graham’s induction into DWF’s insurance division marks a significant enhancement in the firm’s ability to handle complex and major injury cases. Her extensive expertise and forward-thinking approach are expected to bring substantial benefits to DWF’s clients and further propel the division’s growth.
