An international logistics group has announced the commencement of what is claimed to be the fastest sea cargo route between the UK and North America, originating from the Port of Liverpool.
The group, affiliated with Nippon Express Holdings Inc, is now offering weekly connections to the USA and Canada with transit times as brief as 11 days, along with tailored transport solutions. This service embarks directly from Liverpool and includes Dublin and Belfast as feeder ports into Liverpool, where containers are transferred to the main vessel. The vessel then departs from Liverpool, making stops at ports such as New York, Baltimore, Norfolk in the USA, and Halifax in Canada. This route is also operational in the reverse direction, from North America to the UK and Ireland, providing access to the same ports.
According to Fergal Keenan, Managing Director for Ireland and the UK, “Our aim is to support local businesses in strengthening trade links between Ireland, the UK, and North America. By offering the fastest sea route available, we can assist customers in these markets with all their import and export needs. 🌍” Keenan emphasised that the dual-country approach between Ireland and Liverpool enhances flexibility and delivers a comprehensive logistics solution for businesses in both regions.
With offices located in Dublin, Manchester, London, Basildon, and Bradford, the group ensures seamless connectivity to all major ports, thereby reinforcing its capability to support businesses with all their transport and logistics requirements.
