Preston-based law firm has undertaken a significant expansion of its Liverpool office, securing a 10-year lease for 5,000 sq ft of office space in the heart of Liverpool’s commercial business district.
The firm, which operates in Southport, Blackburn, Lytham, and Kendal, has moved into Bruntwood SciTech’s The Plaza at 100 Old Hall Street. This strategic expansion comes as the headcount at the Liverpool office increased by 20% in 18 months, reaching a total of 34 employees. The new office is home to an eight-strong corporate team led by corporate partner Kieran Donovan, alongside parallel growth in commercial property, employment, and commercial litigation, among other areas.
Since opening in Liverpool in 2018 with corporate lawyer Gareth McIntegart, who continues to be involved, the firm has seen remarkable growth in annual turnover from approximately £640,000 in 2022 to a forecast revenue of around £3m for the 2024-2025 period. Partner Kieran Donovan noted, “The move to larger premises with a long-term commitment in the heart of the commercial business district demonstrates our confidence in the Liverpool City Region economy. We have grown significantly over the past two-and-a-half years, and our new office will enhance our ongoing support to our clients helping them achieve their strategic objectives.”
Donovan emphasised that the Liverpool office’s growth is a cornerstone of the firm’s strategy to become one of the most innovative and fastest-growing law firms in the North West. He added, “Our people are fundamental to our move, and our new space in Liverpool provides them with a flexible and modern working environment where they can connect and collaborate in what will be a great place to work.”
Echoing this sentiment, Simon Guest, senior commercial account and asset manager for Bruntwood SciTech in Liverpool, said, “Finding the office space that met the growth expectations of the firm has been a journey for us both. We look forward to continuing the support for Napthens in one of the UK’s fastest-growing cities.”
This expansion underscores the firm’s robust growth trajectory and its commitment to the Liverpool City Region’s economic vitality. With a larger, modern workspace, the firm is well-positioned to continue serving its diverse and growing client base effectively.
