The Sharp Project has appointed Dunstan Carter as its new business development manager.
Manchester’s hub for creative digital entrepreneurs and digital content creation, which hosts over 60 businesses including CGI producers, filmmakers, gaming developers, animators, digital agencies, tech start-ups, and graphic designers, has introduced Dunstan Carter as its business development manager.
Carter’s new role involves spearheading client retention, leading new business activities, managing office sales, and promoting the facility to the creative, digital, tech, and broadcasting sectors in the North.
Previously, Carter served as expo sales director for Prolific North, where he launched and led sales and marketing for the media and marketing expo, Prolific North Live. He will report directly to the joint managing directors of The Sharp Project, Colin Johnson (Operations) and Rob Page (Commercial).
Commenting on his appointment, Carter remarked, “The Sharp Project has, for 10 years, been viewed by many as the place in the NW to set up creative businesses. The opportunities available make this very special environment stand apart from other offerings in the sector. I am looking forward to working with tenants, existing and new, as well as the brilliant team who have brought and continue to bring this space to life through hard work and original thinking.”
Rob Page added, “Dunstan is a most welcome addition to the team here. We have seen an increase in demand for space for an increasingly wide range of businesses, but we are also crucially aware of the need to maintain our individuality. Through a combination of his intuitive approach to this sector and a desire to work closely with the tenants, Dunstan is well placed to move us to the next level as we enter our second decade.”
The addition of Dunstan Carter is expected to bolster The Sharp Project’s mission to support and grow the creative and digital industries in the North.
