Manchester-headquartered coding bootcamp has launched an Introduction to Programming course aimed at making the tech sector more accessible. This course, designed for absolute beginners and those considering a career in coding, aims to provide a platform to explore if coding is suitable through tutor-led sessions and project-based workshops.

The initial course is scheduled for Tuesday 2nd and Thursday 4th October at the city centre campus in Federation House. During these evening sessions, tutors will introduce new concepts, which students will then apply in practice to explore the recently covered ideas.

The course focuses not on building websites but on understanding the languages underpinning various technologies, including AI, blockchain, and mobile applications. It also lays the groundwork for advanced learning in building complex websites and developing software.

“A lot of people think about coding and programming as a potential career but are unsure about what it entails and how to get started,” noted co-founder Chris Hill. He mentioned that graduates from their main course come from diverse industries such as retail, recruitment, marketing, as well as university graduates and those returning to work after having children.

Hill added, “They often tell us that making the first step is the hardest, so we want Introduction to Programming to answer those questions and ultimately inspire the programmers of the future.”

The new Introduction to Programming course seeks to demystify the initial steps into a career in coding by offering accessible and practical sessions aimed at absolute beginners.
