Specialist finance recruitment consultancy has bolstered its presence in the North West with the appointment of Olivia Greer as the regional director, addressing the growing demand for its services.
Greer, who brings a decade of experience in the qualified finance recruitment market, previously served as an associate director at a national blue-chip recruiter. She led a team of ten experienced recruiters and built an extensive professional network across Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire, and Greater Manchester. Throughout her career, Greer has successfully placed finance professionals at all levels, from finance directors to newly qualified hires, on both permanent and interim assignments.
In her new role, Greer will focus on mid to senior-level appointments in the qualified finance market across all sectors in the North West. Additionally, she will drive demand for the consultancy’s finance director-led services, which include turnaround and transformation support, as well as part-time and portfolio finance directors. Moreover, she will deliver a series of knowledge-sharing events aimed at uniting the region’s finance community, building upon the success of the company’s established events programme in Yorkshire.
Commenting on her new role, Greer expressed her enthusiasm: “Having previously worked with some of the senior team, I’m delighted to be joining such a dynamic and exciting business. Headstar’s unique combination of finance recruitment and consultancy services, led by qualified finance directors, is increasingly resonating among SMEs in the North West, and I’m looking forward to helping more businesses in the region grow by connecting them with top finance talent.
Headstar’s managing director, James Roach, emphasized the strategic importance of strengthening their presence in the North West: “Supporting SMEs based in the North has always been an important part of our mission, and with demand for our services in the North West growing rapidly, it made complete sense to strengthen our presence in the region.” He highlighted Greer’s deep expertise in finance recruitment and her extensive network across the North West, stating that her approachable, down-to-earth character aligns with the consultancy’s values. Roach added, “Her appointment strengthens our ability to connect ambitious businesses with the financial leadership they need, and I’m excited to see the impact she will have in driving our growth by supporting the buoyant North West business community.”
Established 38 years ago, the consultancy, originally known as FD Yorkshire Limited, has significantly expanded its client and contractor base in recent years. The firm works with a range of SMEs and larger corporates, including Next, RSM, PureGym, and NG Bailey.
The appointment of Olivia Greer marks a strategic move to further solidify the consultancy’s stronghold in the North West. Her extensive experience and professional network are expected to significantly contribute to meeting the growing demand for qualified finance professionals in the region.
