Finalists revealed for Venturefests innovation contest

Twelve businesses have been shortlisted for the Innovation Showcase competition at Venturefest North West 2018, an event bringing together some of the most innovative small and medium-sized enterprises in the region.

The competition, which saw entries from 173 businesses across the North West, will award winners in four categories: Product Innovation, Service Innovation, Digital Innovation, and Innovative Established Business. Furthermore, an ‘Overall Winner’ and ‘Audience Winner’ will be decided by attendees following the finalists’ presentations on 13th September at Manchester Central.

Priya Lakhani, the renowned entrepreneur, will host the event. Each category winner will receive a comprehensive business support package from the organisers, the GC Business Growth Hub, and its partners.

In the Product Innovation category, the finalists include Radic8, Reach and Rescue, and Redman Racing. Service Innovation finalists feature Clyz Labs, Million Stars Sustainable Urban Chain. For Digital Innovation, the contenders are Brain in Hand, Call Me Help Corporation, and the Xploro mobile app by Pop. Finally, in the Innovative Established Business category, the finalists include Fulfilment Crowd, Witham Mills Engineering, and Telcom.

Keynote addresses at the event will be delivered by Jenny Tooth OBE, CEO of the UK Business Angels Association, and Richard Noble OBE, project director of the Bloodhound Super Sonic Car project, which aims to break the land speed record next year.

The Venturefest North West 2018 event promises to be an exciting gathering of innovative minds and cutting-edge businesses, showcasing the best of the region’s entrepreneurial spirit.
