Digital Agency Expands with New Permanent Hire

digital agency expands with new permanent hire business manchester

Manchester’s digital agency start-up has made a significant move by taking on its first permanent member of staff, following a series of client acquisitions and new projects.

Emily Triplett, a final year student from the University of Salford, assumes the role of account executive at the agency, which is steered by co-founders Tom Parson and Harry Potts. Triplett, initially recruited via an internship fund supported by the University of Salford in collaboration with a major bank, has been instrumental over the past six months in managing the daily operations of various client accounts.

The success of her internship has now led to a full-time position commencing in August. Founder and client services director Tom Parson remarked, “We’re pleased to be in the position to offer Emily a permanent role with us. We were really impressed with her tenacious attitude and eagerness to learn new skills, and are delighted that she can join us at what is an exciting time for the business.”

Since its establishment in 2015, the agency has collaborated with several clients to create everything from complex websites to bespoke cloud-based software solutions, achieving a 77 per cent increase in turnover. Notably, the firm launched a specialist web-based software product earlier this year.

Parson further noted, “It has been a busy time for the company, and as it has grown, so too have our client service needs. It’s important to us to ensure that we are both prepared for future growth and are able to maintain a high level of client service – something which lies at the heart of our value proposition. Having Emily on board full-time will help us to deliver on those aims, whilst allowing more time to invest in the strategic running of the business.”

Reflecting on her internship, Triplett expressed, “I’ve really enjoyed my internship here. The team has fully supported me and helped me to develop my skills in lots of different areas, and I’m excited to have been offered a permanent role.” The University of Salford collaborates with partner organisations to fund and coordinate internship programmes, working with industry partners to address mutual needs and opportunities.

Ian Boardman, head of career development & employment at the University of Salford, stated, “Internships are a great way for employers to try out and test the talents that a student or graduate can provide, whilst interns gain valuable work experience, develop competencies and have an opportunity to impress a potentially longer term employer.”

The acquisition of Emily Triplett as a full-time account executive underscores the company’s commitment to nurturing talent and scaling its services to meet growing client demands.
