Wigglesworth brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous tenure at Grey London as an Executive Creative Director, as well as senior positions held at Sony Music, St Lukes, Mcgarrybowen, and Fallon London.
Wigglesworth expressed nostalgic sentiment towards Channel 4, emphasising its significant influence during his formative years with shows like Hollyoaks, Beavis & Butt-head, and Brass Eye. He remarked, ‘As a kid who spent their waking life one foot away from a TV screen, Channel 4 was special.’ Such admiration fuels his enthusiasm for his upcoming role, where both his creative and personal interests align with the network’s progressive ethos.
In his new appointment, Wigglesworth is tasked with leading 4creative alongside Miketta Lane, who was recently promoted to Director of 4creative. Together, they will be responsible for steering the agency towards pioneering ‘agenda-setting and ground-breaking work’, an ambition fitting with Channel 4’s identity as an innovator.
As Wigglesworth looks forward to collaborating with Channel 4’s Chief Marketing Officer Katie Jackson, his mission is to revitalise the ‘Altogether Different’ spirit of the Channel 4 brand. Jackson shared her excitement over his appointment, ‘After I first met David, I couldn’t stop thinking about our conversation. He pushes limits, revels in creative chaos and really really loves TV.’ Wigglesworth’s work, known for its vitality and innovation, has consistently received global recognition and accolades.
