Lancashire-based temperature-controlled van specialist, CoolKit, has achieved a significant milestone in its growth journey following a fire at its previous Burnley site.

After investing in new premises and resources, CoolKit recorded its highest-ever monthly productivity. In July 2024, the firm converted 164 vans and insulated box bodies, marking an impressive recovery and underscoring its commitment to meeting customer demand.

Key to this progress has been the strengthening of CoolKit’s leadership team. Daniel Miller has been appointed Managing Director and Joe Gleave as Operations Director, while Rupert Gatty takes on the role of Chief Executive. These leadership changes are complemented by several new roles aimed at continually improving quality and output.

CoolKit plans to begin smaller orders for panel van conversions from October, with larger orders slated to start in January. Additionally, the company is prepared to commence orders for box bodies from January 2025.

CoolKit holds original equipment manufacturer accreditations from several major manufacturers, including Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Renault UK, Renault Trucks, Toyota, and the Stellantis family, which includes Peugeot, Citroen, Vauxhall, and Fiat.

Daniel Miller highlighted the importance of service in customer choice, stating: “Our service is a significant factor in why customers choose CoolKit and increasing our operational capacity has been the main objective of our growth plan in order to cater to their demands. As our output continues to grow, we are encouraging our valued customers to explore new opportunities for collaboration.”

CoolKit’s recovery and record output reflect the company’s resilience and strategic investment in growth, signalling a strong future outlook.
