CoolKit is ramping up its growth strategy by bringing on board more technical experts.
The company has appointed two new Design Engineers and a Continuous Improvement Facilitator to support its ambitious plans.
Expansion of the Team
CoolKit has recently expanded its team by adding two new Design Engineers and a Continuous Improvement Facilitator. This growth is part of CoolKit’s extensive plan to increase its workforce by over 30%, raising its total employee count to more than 130.
The new appointments include Gordon Gray, Jack Ye, and Hannah Murphy. Gordon and Jack will be joining as Design Engineers, while Hannah will serve as the Continuous Improvement Facilitator at the company’s Blackburn headquarters.
Innovative Roles and Contributions
Gordon Gray previously worked with Electra Commercial Vehicles and Triumph Motorcycles. He will be responsible for designing components for van orders, starting from specifications to procurement and production.
Gordon stated, “CoolKit is a market leader in the industry, producing high-quality products that meet customers’ needs. My experience in manufacturing has taught me best practices to produce a top-notch product.”
Focus on Design and Efficiency
Jack Ye has a background in CAD design, having worked at Titan Boat Canopies and in locations such as Macau and Hong Kong.
Jack will focus on creating insulated panel kits, CNC cutting programmes, and integrating road transport refrigeration systems into vehicle conversion kits. Jack remarked, “CoolKit’s innovative approach and industry reputation attracted me. I bring experience in 2D and 3D mechanical design and collaborative problem-solving.”
Role of Continuous Improvement Facilitator
Hannah Murphy will use Lean Six Sigma tools to identify and plan continuous improvement events. She will lead cross-functional teams to improve processes and workplace organization.
In her role, Hannah will also focus on identifying inefficiency and waste. She said, “I aim to help CoolKit reach new levels of change and improvement, enhancing processes, tools, organisation, communication, support, and training.”
