In a significant step toward modernisation, a price comparison and booking platform has announced a new automatic pricing system following a substantial investment.

The introduction of the ‘Book It Now’ platform, described as ‘transformational’ by co-founder James Stokes, is the most significant enhancement in the company’s history. This platform will instantly generate quotes for customers, based on over a decade’s worth of data, ensuring a supplier meets their requirements.

James Stokes emphasised that the new system will free up considerable time for operators, who currently spend around 24 days a year providing quotes. This considerable time-saving will allow operators to focus more on running their businesses efficiently. They will also benefit financially by being paid upfront and in full for each booking, improving their cashflow.

Operators will be able to log in daily to see the list of opportunities matching their location and fleet, choosing the ones they wish to accept. The company’s connection with 250 independent minibus and coach operators across the UK is expected to double over the next year. Currently, it provides 5,000 quotes monthly for various events, including school outings, stag and hen parties, corporate bookings, airport transfers, and travel to music festivals and sporting events.

The transition from manual to automatic quoting will address issues such as overpricing and underquoting, which can result in potential business losses. According to James, the ‘Book It Now’ platform will ensure faster and more accurate quote fulfilment, delivering genuine, fully-paid bookings for suppliers and a seamless experience for customers. This move will offer a more realistic view of journey costs, catering to an evolving market that increasingly demands a digital experience.

Further, the pricing structure for each booking will be fair and reflect demand and availability, considering factors such as the time of day, week, year, and the type of vehicle and onboard facilities requested. The aim is for the ‘Book It Now’ platform to be a benchmark for excellence within the industry, covering 80 per cent of inquiries by the end of the year.

In addition to the technological advancements, there are plans for international expansion within the next year. Targets include establishing a presence in Ireland and Portugal, with Spain and Greece also under consideration. These initiatives are expected to significantly increase the volume of bookings and market share, helping to win repeat customers and fostering word-of-mouth recommendations within business networks.

The launch of the ‘Book It Now’ platform represents a pivotal advancement for the company and the broader industry, promising to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. This strategic move underscores a commitment to innovation and growth, setting a new standard for the market.
