circle square welcomes new bagel factory location business manchester

Bagel Factory has expanded its footprint in Manchester with the inauguration of its third location at Bruntwood SciTech’s Circle Square. This new store, which opened on 27 August, will join the existing sites in Spinningfields and the Arndale Centre, creating six new jobs in the process.

Established in 1997, Bagel Factory has grown to over 30 locations across the United Kingdom, focusing on providing quality, quick meals made from the best ingredients. The company plans to open nine additional sites in 2024.

Circle Square, a prominent neighbourhood located in Manchester’s Oxford Road Corridor knowledge quarter, adjacent to Oxford Road train station, is notable for its blend of residential, commercial, and retail spaces. It serves as a hub for start-ups and global businesses, including Roku, Bosch, HPE, and Autocab, which was acquired by Uber. The area is undergoing an £87 million expansion to add retail and workspace at No.3 Circle Square.

Renowned for its dynamic retail environment, Circle Square includes Symphony Park, a free-to-access area around which many leading retailers are based. Bagel Factory will accompany popular establishments such as Onda Pasta Bar, North Tap Room, Federal Cafe Bar, and the recently announced Detroit Slims.

Matt Pazos, Retail Commercial Manager for Bruntwood SciTech, commented, “As our Circle Square community continues to grow, we have created a place where the very best mix of retailers and businesses can thrive. Bagel Factory will provide an exceptional grab and go offering for the neighbourhood and those who frequently visit it, including students and staff from the two universities, businesses located at our innovation hubs across the city centre, and the ever-growing number of local residents.” He further emphasised, “Quality, quick eats are an important part of the scene in the busy and bustling Oxford Road area. Bagel Factory will perfectly complement the mix at Circle Square.”

Antonio Ghirarduzzi, Managing Director of Bagel Factory, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “After having stores in the Arndale and Spinningfields for several years now, we are proud to enter the brilliant and innovative Circle Square. After months of hard work by our experienced team, we are thrilled to finally be opening our doors to the community. We hope to bring a fresh offering and become a lunchtime staple to the neighbourhood and surrounding area.”

The addition of Bagel Factory to Circle Square signifies a noteworthy enhancement to the area’s diverse food and retail offerings, confirming Circle Square’s status as one of Manchester’s most dynamic and appealing destinations.
