In a strategic move to expand its global reach, Add People has inaugurated a new office in the tech hub of Austin, Texas. Starting with a compact team of 10 experts, the office is poised to develop the agency’s offerings for small and medium-sized enterprises across the United States. This move is seen as pivotal in addressing the needs of the existing US clientele already benefitting from Add People’s services.
Cameron Smith has been appointed as the Vice President of Operations to lead the new Austin office. With an impressive tenure of seven years at Add People, where he ascended from an account manager to the head of the ecommerce PPC department, Smith is well-equipped to spearhead this new venture. His leadership is expected to be instrumental in replicating the agency’s award-winning culture within the US.
Add People’s expansion into the US reflects its strategic intent to focus initially on core services such as ecommerce, Google ads, and SEO offerings. Over time, the Austin office plans to introduce additional services, such as lead generation and conversion rate optimisation (CRO), to better serve its clientele. This calculated approach ensures a robust foundation for penetrating the US market.
Phil McNulty, the Chief Operating Officer, emphasised that “when we started back in 2002, it was with a vision to deliver scalable marketing solutions for small businesses who were underserved.” With over 4,000 clients globally and a strength of 265 staff, the agency has shown commendable growth. Despite operating primarily along the East Coast due to timezone challenges, the transition to Austin positions Add People to effectively cater to its expanding client base in the US.
Cameron Smith expressed his enthusiasm for the move to Austin, highlighting its appeal as a location due to its dynamic tech environment and collaborative atmosphere. According to Smith, Austin’s vibrant scene will motivate the team to innovate and provide cutting-edge solutions, enhancing the agency’s ability to meet client expectations and set new benchmarks in digital marketing.
The establishment of an Austin office is a strategic move to bolster Add People’s position and capabilities within the US market, ensuring improved service delivery across timezones.
