In a significant development for the financial technology sector, AccessPay has unveiled its new treasury consultancy service, which will be under the leadership of Karen Fagan.

Karen Fagan joins AccessPay after a distinguished 16-year tenure at ITV in Manchester, where she most recently served as Head of Treasury Back and Middle Office. Her extensive experience in financial transformation projects, many of which featured AccessPay as a key component, positions her as an invaluable asset to her new role.

Fagan expressed her enthusiasm for this move, highlighting her previous collaborations with AccessPay: “I’ve been the SME [subject matter expert] on many transformation projects over the years, many of which had AccessPay at the core. AccessPay has been a key partner in many of the projects I led at ITV and I am excited to help shape the future of AccessPay’s consultancy services and support our clients in achieving their long-term goals.”

In her new capacity at AccessPay, Fagan will report directly to CEO Anish Kapoor. Kapoor noted the strategic importance of Fagan’s appointment, stating, “Karen’s appointment marks a significant step in our strategy to expand AccessPay’s consultancy services and give clients unparalleled support in their financial transformation projects.”

Kapoor further elaborated on Fagan’s comprehensive role, emphasizing how her experience on the client side offers a unique perspective: “This is a truly cross-functional role, supporting multiple areas across the business, and Karen’s experience on the client side gives her a unique perspective that will be invaluable as we continue to grow and refine our offerings. We’re thrilled to have her on board and look forward to the impact she will make on our consultancy services and client success.”

The newly established treasury consultancy service will work closely with commercial teams to educate businesses on the benefits of bank integration. This initiative aims to provide companies with the necessary cash visibility without the need for investing in expensive treasury management systems.

Karen Fagan’s appointment at AccessPay signals a proactive step towards enhancing the firm’s consultancy services, leveraging her expertise to drive client success in financial transformation initiatives.
