Crowe, an accountancy firm, has announced the relocation of its Manchester office to St George’s House on Peter Street.
This strategic move follows the firm’s expansion to a team of 100 in the city and signifies its long-term commitment to Manchester.
Relocation to St George’s House
Crowe is set to move from its current location at The Lexicon on Mount Street to the historic St George’s House. This transition will accommodate the firm’s growth across various sectors, including audit, tax, corporate finance, and financial planning.
The new office will also provide more space as Crowe continues its efforts to develop the next generation of accountants. The firm has doubled its intake of graduates and apprentices as part of its Early Careers recruitment programme and will welcome additional trainees through its secondment and internship programmes.
Commitment to Manchester
Michael Jayson, Managing Partner of the Manchester office, emphasised the importance of this move: “This move marks a really positive step forward in Crowe’s long-term investment in Manchester and the region.”
Jayson highlighted that the relocation symbolises Crowe’s dedication to delivering excellent service to its growing client base and creating an optimal environment for business advancement.
Strategic Vision and Growth
Nigel Bostock, Crowe’s Chief Executive, noted: “Our strategic vision has seen the firm grow substantially over the last few years, spurring us to find an outstanding office space which supports our people and long-term business growth in Manchester and the wider region.”
Bostock praised Manchester for its highly educated talent pool, excellent transport links, and innovative economy, deeming it an ideal location for business expansion in the North.
Enhanced Office Environment
In collaboration with multi-disciplinary real estate advisors OBI and Landlord Grade A Alternative, Crowe has launched an extensive fit-out programme for the new premises. The redesign focuses on integrating enhanced technology to foster both independent and collaborative working amongst colleagues and clients.
The historic property on Peter Street offers over 50,000 square feet of floor space. Covered in terracotta bricks, this building holds the distinction of being the first concrete-framed structure in Manchester, dating back to the early 20th century.
Consultancy and Design Expertise
Richard Lace, Director of Transactions and Asset Management at OBI, spoke on their role: “OBI provided Crowe with multi-disciplinary consultancy services, including acquisition, interior design, and delivery of their new office.”
Lace added that the new office’s design reflects Crowe’s brand and cultural values while incorporating influences from the historic features of St George’s House. This tailored approach aims to create an engaging and collaborative workspace.
Client and Employee Experience
Hannah Cooper, Investment and Asset Manager at Grade A Alternative, expressed her satisfaction at welcoming Crowe to St George’s House: “The fit-out looks fantastic and it has been a pleasure working with clients who both appreciate the history and architecture of the building.”
Cooper highlighted the importance of providing a flexible and functional workspace that meets the needs of both employees and clients, ensuring a conducive environment for productivity and growth.
Crowe’s move to St George’s House is a testament to its ongoing growth and dedication to Manchester.
With enhanced office space and a focus on developing future accounting professionals, the firm is well-positioned to continue its upward trajectory.
