This week, Olympic Gold Medallist and World Record Holder Katy Marchant helped launch a new events agency in Yorkshire, aiming to redefine regional expectations and highlight its finest offerings.
Yorkshire Z’Own, a newly established events agency, was created to celebrate the region’s best features, from cottage industries and creative talents to unique venues and hidden gems. The agency integrates diverse elements, including exceptional talent, culinary delights, and distinctive activities to craft unparalleled events.
Director Andrew Winterburn emphasised the agency’s mission to challenge stereotypes and traditional business event concepts. He stated, “Yorkshire Z’Own aims to ‘redefine expectations,’ both of the stereotypes associated with Yorkshire and the traditional concept of business events. Whether it’s conferences, meetings, or corporate incentives, our mission is to think and act differently, consistently surpassing expectations by introducing fresh ideas and talent from across Yorkshire.”
Select guests at the agency’s launch event experienced the rarely explored areas of Harewood House estate near Leeds. Guests participated in activities such as foraging and cooking nettle crisps, viewing the creation of willow and iron sculptures, riding in Bygone Classics’ famous Thunderbird and Mustang cars, and enjoying dance, poetry, and art. The event concluded with Marchant sharing her inspirational journey, followed by a fire and dine BBQ at The Hovels, a prestigious events venue.
Winterburn further highlighted the agency’s foundation, built on a profound appreciation of Yorkshire’s rich offerings for the business community. He remarked, “Yorkshire Z’Own was born out of a deep love for this incredible county and all it offers the business community. Yorkshire is more than a place; it’s a community, a spirit, and Yorkshire Z’Own embodies that.” The team, comprising professionals with over 25 years of industry experience—all born and raised in Yorkshire—aims to provide meaningful, memorable, and unfiltered experiences by harnessing the region’s untapped beauty.
The launch of Yorkshire Z’Own marks a promising development in showcasing the unique and diverse offerings of Yorkshire, aiming to set a new standard for business events in the region.
