A significant property transaction has taken place with the sale of a 108,145 sq ft former manufacturing site in Birkenhead for £1.4 million.
The site, located at 1-3 Beaufort Road, Birkenhead, covers a four-acre plot and was sold by Legat Owen on behalf of a safety and survival specialist operating across maritime, defence, government, energy, and aerospace markets. The transaction marks the completion of the safety and survival specialist’s relocation to Aviator, Ellesmere Port.
The new owner, West Wallasey Fleet Hire Services, specialises in long-term flexible van rental and operates a fleet of over 17,000 vehicles. Celebrating 50 years in business, this acquisition aligns with their ongoing expansion efforts. Rupert Chadwick Dunbar, representing Legat Owen, noted, ‘Sites such as this one don’t come along very often, and when they do we make sure our clients get the best possible deal.’
Situated in the heart of Birkenhead’s industrial area, just a short three-minute drive from the M53, the detached former manufacturing site consists of four units. Its location within Liverpool’s freeport area and appealing future prospects made it an attractive investment opportunity.
Legal advisement for the safety and survival specialist was provided by DWF, while West Wallasey Fleet Hire Services was advised by Harworth & Gallagher.
This notable transaction underscores the ongoing appeal and strategic value of properties within Liverpool’s freeport area, reflecting a broader trend of significant investments in well-located industrial sites.
