North East-based instantprint, the UK’s largest online printer, is marking its 15th anniversary by reflecting on its humble beginnings and the strides it has made over the years.
This year, instantprint has invested over £6 million in advanced machinery for its factory, acquiring a second Landa press and a new Rollem Autopunch to enhance business card cutting. The company’s factory fleet and team have also expanded, increasing capacity and providing customers with faster turnaround times, improved quality, and better pricing.
In addition to these investments, instantprint has revamped its website, launching new product pages and developing a Product Builder tool. This tool enables users to preview their print selections, ensuring there are no surprises upon delivery.
To commemorate its 15 years in the printing industry, instantprint hosted its first Open Day in July, followed by a second event on August 29th due to high demand. Over 60 businesses visited the premises in Manvers, where they attended business talks by industry experts, toured the state-of-the-art factory, and enjoyed a networking breakfast and lunch.
When instantprint was founded in 2009 by Adam Carnell and James Kinsella, the directors had a simple goal: to make print more accessible for small businesses. This principle remains at the core of their operations today.
Both founders are dedicated to supporting like-minded businesses in achieving their goals. Through initiatives like the Small Business Hub and the hiring of Account Managers to oversee customer accounts, instantprint has assisted over a million small businesses in enhancing their brand with print services. With more than 5 million small businesses in the UK, approximately one in five have chosen to print with instantprint.
Reflecting on the company’s journey, the founders remarked, ‘Celebrating our 15th anniversary is an exciting milestone for us at instantprint. We fondly recall our early days with just two staff members in a small Newcastle office. Now, as the UK’s largest online printer, we fulfil thousands of jobs daily. We are immensely proud of our team and our customers who have helped us reach this point. We eagerly anticipate what the future holds for instantprint.’
instantprint’s 15th anniversary not only highlights its growth and achievements but also underscores its commitment to supporting small businesses in the UK.
