Two additional speakers have been confirmed for the imminent ‘Tech Recruitment Timebomb’ event.
Benedetta Arese Lucini, who previously served as a regional manager for Uber in Europe before co-founding a start-up, and Rija Javed, the chief technology officer of a London-based FinTech company, will be sharing their insights at the event scheduled to take place on 10 October from 5-7 pm at etc.venues The Hatton, London.
The inclusion of these speakers raises the total number of participants to 11, all of whom will be discussing the pressing recruitment challenges faced by London’s technology sector. Notably, recent surveys have consistently highlighted that the issue has reached critical levels. The ongoing uncertainty surrounding Brexit is exacerbating the situation, with 13 per cent of current positions being filled by international workers.
The skills shortage is leading to a significant increase in salaries, with over one-third of digital technology businesses reporting that prospective candidates are demanding more than what the companies can afford. This escalating situation is a palpable concern for the sector, which is struggling to attract and retain skilled professionals.
The ‘Tech Recruitment Timebomb’ promises to address these crucial issues, offering valuable perspectives from industry leaders.
