The finance chief of a prominent cloud computing and connectivity provider for financial markets is set to retire by the year’s end.
Simon Goulding, the current Chief Financial Officer, will also step down as a director of the company at the upcoming Annual General Meeting on 24th October. Goulding, who initially served as a consultant before becoming CFO in December 2015, played a pivotal role in managing the company’s initial public offering (IPO) process.
The organisation, headquartered in Glasgow with additional operations in Japan and the United States, has announced that Group Financial Controller Fraser McDonald will succeed Goulding. McDonald was instrumental in the company’s flotation in November of the previous year and will join the board as the new CFO.
Mark Cubitt, the company’s chairman, remarked, ‘Fraser contributed greatly to the success of the company’s IPO last year and we have been delighted with his contribution to the business since the company joined AIM. We are very pleased to welcome him to the board of the company.’ He further extended gratitude to Goulding, stating, ‘We would like to thank Simon for his leadership of the finance team over the last few years and we are benefiting from the robust structures he has put in place. We wish him all the best for his future endeavours.’
The transition in the finance leadership marks a significant moment for the cloud computing group, as it continues to build on its recent successes in the financial markets.
