Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle has seen the completion of a significant £50m residential project by Nexus Residential. The newly finished One Baltic Square development features 296 units and has already sold out.
The development, situated near the city centre, includes both residential and commercial spaces, with amenities designed to enhance the community feel of the area.
Completion of £50m Baltic Triangle Scheme
Liverpool property developer Nexus Residential has completed its flagship project, a £50m residential scheme at One Baltic Square. The project features 296 mixed-use units and is located on the edge of Liverpool city centre, in the rapidly developing Baltic Triangle area.
The development has been completely sold out by RW Invest, who will also occupy three of the commercial units on site, which will serve as state-of-the-art offices worth £1m.
Outdoor Space and Amenities
The centrepiece of the project is an outdoor space designed like an Italian piazza, delivered at a cost of £1m. The space includes stunning glass sculptures that reflect the history of the site as a bottling facility for the nearby Cains Brewery.
Residents can also enjoy rooftop gardens that offer amazing views across the river, stretching as far as the Welsh hills on clear days. This addition aims to provide a serene and beautiful environment for the inhabitants.
Additional Facilities and Security
One Baltic Square includes a reception and concierge service to cater to the needs of its residents. The development also offers underground car parking, ensuring ample space for resident vehicles.
For additional security, the entire site is equipped with CCTV. This measure ensures that the safety of the residents is prioritised at all times.
Commercial Units
The mixed-use commercial units within the building have been designed to house coffee shops, restaurants, and office spaces. This setup aims to create an ‘urban village’ within the Baltic Triangle.
By integrating these amenities, the development fosters a community atmosphere, making it more than just a place to live.
Development Team and Contractors
Nexus Residential appointed Legacie Contracts as the main contractor for the project. Legacie Contracts was responsible for successfully completing the construction of the site. This collaboration was crucial for the timely and effective execution of the scheme.
Last year, Nexus Residential secured £19.5m in funding from London-based Maslow Capital to bring this development to life.
Quotes from Nexus Residential CEO
Michael Gledhill, CEO of Nexus Residential, expressed his pride in the completion of the project, calling it a standout residential development in Liverpool. ‘One Baltic Square is our standout residential development in Liverpool and will bring much-needed high-quality homes to an increasingly popular part of the city.’
He further added, ‘We are proud to help create a new urban village in the heart of Liverpool offering luxury accommodation and practical facilities, as well as a prime location.’
Next Steps for Nexus Residential
The construction team is already moving ahead with Nexus Residential’s next development, Central Park. This new project is situated adjacent to One Baltic Square.
With the experience and success gained from One Baltic Square, expectations are high for Central Park to meet similar standards of quality and community-centric design.
The £50m Baltic Triangle scheme marks a significant milestone for Liverpool’s development landscape. From luxurious amenities to comprehensive security measures, it sets a new benchmark for future projects.
The success of One Baltic Square reflects the growing demand for high-quality residential spaces in Liverpool. Expectations are high for the upcoming Central Park development, which aims to replicate this success and further contribute to the urban regeneration of the area.
